ADC32RF45: Register Initialization

Part Number: ADC32RF45

SBAS747B has a list of initialization registers in Table 102, and SBAS747C directs the user to use the files in SBAA226.  The files match the previous table quite closely, with the exception that registers 0x62-0x8E are not written on the master page.  Is this an oversight, or intentional?  Should these registers be written with the values in SBAS747B?

  • Hi,

During the time period that the table 102 was in the draft datasheet SBAS747B the revision of silicon was pre-production and table 102 was what you would write for preproduction silicon.  In production silicon, those registers from 0x62 through 0x8E do not need to be written.  In fact, I took a look at the config files that come with the latest version of the EVM SPI GUI that is on the web for the ADC32RF45 EVM, and in the pre-production folder if I look inside the cfg file for LMFS_82820 mode I see those register writes as reflected in table 102.  But if I pop up a level and look in the current RF45 folder for the cfg file for LMFS_82820 then I see the addresses 0x62 through 0x8E are no longer in the config file, which squares with what is in the files for SBAA226.

So - not an oversight.  These addresses are not needed for production silicon.

    Regards,

    Richard P.
