Hi Josh,

Do you actually want to write a device control GUI in labview? Or just want to automate the device GUI controls? We do have some examples of matlab and python scripts which use an FTDI DLL and avoid opening the labview GUI completely.

If you just want automation, it is probably easier with matlab or python/C.

Yeah I would like those examples with the python and matlab scripts please that sounds very helpful. Ultimately my goal is to come up with code to avoid the use of a lot of the settings in the TI 308x GUI that we don't use and saves the settings we do use. So I like the idea of the automation examples because I feel like this sounds like an easier way to go about this. Out of curiosity do you guys have any example code in labVIEW?

We have an FTDI DLL which can be used to work with the FTDI chip. However this is a generic DLL which allows python, matlab connections. We do have some labview examples of how to use this DLL as well. However we may or may not have a fully working example for the TSW30SH84. You will need to do some work on your own.

We are working on releasing these to the public, but they are not yet ready for public release. If you friend me I can email them directly to you for now.
