ADC12J2700: Reg 0x006 Datasheet Question

Part Number: ADC12J2700

Hello,

My customer is using ADC12J2700.  To confirm configuration I/O operation, they read the following register values:

Reg 0x003 (Chip type):           0x03 (expect 0x03)
Reg 0x006 (Chip version):      0x03 (expect 0x13)
Reg 0x00C-D (Vendor ID):  0x0451 (expect 0x0451)

On the data sheet they are using (doc SLAS969D -- January 2014, revised October 2017), page 61,  where the value expected in reg 0x006 (chip version) is 0x13, not 0x03.  Is there a possible error in the datasheet for Reg 0x006?  i wanted to confirm if 0x13 is the expected value.

    Hi Errol
    There was a design change made to the ADC12J2700 and at that time the Chip Version register was changed from 0x03 to 0x13.
    A PCN (Product Change Notification) was issued in early 2017 to notify customers of record about the required change. The PCN number is 20170316002.
    If the Chip Version is reading 0x03 it means the device they have was manufactured prior to that design change.
