Hello,
Does presence of magnetic field affect the operation of LDC1000 output for ferrous/non-ferrous target?
If yes, then to what extent? can it be compensated?

Hello,
For ferrous targets and low frequencies, where there is significant field penetration into the metal, external magnetic field may cause a saturation, and the output will be affected.
For non=ferrous targets, we expect no effects for any reasonable magnetic fields.
AC magnetic field having harmonics at LC frequency, may couple directly into the sensor - please keep this in mind.
"For non=ferrous targets, we expect no effects for any reasonable magnetic fields."
Could you be more specific what is considered a "reasonable" magnetic field?
Hello,
The magnetic field that does not change current distribution in wires, will have no influence.
