Seeking ADS1672EVM-PDK Firmware

Hello

I just obtained a ADS1672EVM-PDK and followed the manual to use it in ADCPro. It work well.

I use this evaluation board package to speed up my evaluation.

I would like to connect the ADS1672EVM board to TMS320F28335 processor.

Can I get the firmware source code for ADS11672 to catch up my lost time and finish my evaluation?

Henryk

    Hello Heniek,

The source code that we have for the ADS1672 EVM-PDK won't be of much use to you on the TMS320F28335.  The motherboard for the ADS1672 is using the TMS320VC5509 which has a different set of chip support libraries.  Let me look into this a little more for you and if we can develop a driver for the F28335 DSP, we'll let you know.

    Regards,

    Tom

    Hello Tom,

We use Experimenter’s Kits with base board and TMS320F28335/C28343/C28346 processors controlCARD. Now we try rater the C28346 processor (because of higher clock speed).
And now wit try to connect the ADS1672 Evaluation Module (without the MMB0 board) direct to this Experimenter’s Kit. And we also try to use this adc without the DSP-BIOS system.
We need the ADS1672 configuration and usage code example for 28335/243/346 processor.

We see, that the McBSP module on this processors is very similar to McBSP module on VC5507/5509A processor. And also the I2C module is very similar.
W found that the source code for the ADS1282EVM-PDK (obtained from the post) is very useful for doing adc interface code.

We hope, that the ADS1672EVM-PDK source code will be very useful example for start to do the ADS1672 interface code.

    Regards,

    Heniek

    Dear Tom and Heniek,

I have the similar needs (i.e., driver for ADS1672evm with TMS320C28346). Do you have something that you could share?

    Daniele -

Have you tried looking at the sample code in the "Design Notes" portion of the forum?  I don't think there is anything that matches your request exactly, but you may be able to find something that will help you in your code development.

    Hi Tom,

I would like to make an interface between an ADS1672EVM with a FPGA Xilinx 3AN, can you provide the source code of the  ADS1672EVM-PDK I think this code is usefu to setup the registers and follow a similar code procedure for programming a processor inside the FPGA , I will  appreciate your help

    Carlos -

Please find the requested firmware at the below links.  The source is developed in CCS 3.1.

    ftp://ftp.ti.com/pub/data_acquisition/ADCPro2/Source/ads1672evmfw.zip - ADS1672EVM firmware source

ftp://ftp.ti.com/pub/data_acquisition/ADCPro2/Source/ADCProFW.zip - ADCPro firmware library (may be required for project or reference)

Keep in mind that this firmware is development for our evaluation system and therefore may not be well suited for end applications.  Also, this source is provided "as-is", so modifications and change support is not provided.

    Mr. Greg,

Files on "ftp://ftp.ti.com/pub/data_acquisition/ADCPro2/Source" looks very useful but they are encrypted. Could you send me the password too?

    Thanks in advanced
