can i connect msp-exp430fg4618 experiment board to ads 1298 front end board for ecg applications. Please help me in this regard to finalize my design.
Is it possible to interface msp-exp430f5438 development board to ads 1298 front end module. please help me in this situation
Yes - I believe you can use the ADS1298 with the msp-exp430F5438 board. Looks like you would need to wire it into either the RF1 or the eZ-RF1 connector. Check out Samtec for mating connectors. For a little help with software, you might take a look at these posts:
i have seen Samtec website there i found different types of mating connectors. can please suggest me which type of cable i should use to connect ads1298 to msp430. The links you send are very helpful in programming the kits.
Thank you very much in helping me and i hope you lead me further in my design.
Since the pin out of the two connectors in question (the one on the ADS1298 EVM and the other on eZ430 board) are not 1:1, you are going to have to solder wires between the two mating connectors. If you keep the wires short, 32AWG wire wrap wire would be fine. Be sure to pick up ground on both boards and tie them together.
Thank you very much. if i face any issues in future i will contact you for suggestion.
can i use the ads1298 performance demonstration kit to interface with msp430 as well as to acquire the ecg signal from electrodes. I am not that much concentrating on programming ads1298. So i think no need of going for ads1298 development kit. Since the cost of ads1298 development kit is $449 while the cost of ads1298 demonstration kit is $199. So Please suggest me which should i opt for my project.
