ADCPro Launcher. No internet connection?

ADCPro Launcher. No internet connection?

Hi

I have uninstalled my previous version of ADCPro (v1.1) and downloaded and installed the new version of ADCPro Launcher.  When I open the launcher I am told I have no internet connection (after some time) and the progress bar to download the latest version is moving and says "Initializing".

I have and internet connection (I am posting here on it), allowed ADCPro Launcher to access the internet via the firewall (I have also disabled the firewall altogether) to try and give the launcher internet access to no avail.

I am trying to use ADCPro with the ADS1278EVM-PDK (in the ADS1x7xEVM board and MMB0 DSP configuration).

Is there something I am doing wrong?  Can I download ADCPro v2.0 without the Launcher Application?

Regards

Darcy

    Darcy -

We have noticed that the internet connection function can have some issues depending on your method of connection.  We have seen problems when a ethernet and wireless adapters are both enabled or present, as well as a few other permutations.  We hope to resolve this shortly since it definitely is not the intended operation and not provide a good user experience.

In the meantime, I will follow up with an email to you with information and the link to the non-internet version.  You should receive this email shortly.

    Greg:

The user manual says that the forum has a link to get ADCPro main program downloaded without using the launcher which in my computer cannot find my perfectly good internet connection.

Could you please point me to a place where I can download ADCPro directly?

    Thanks

    Rich

    Rich -

Unfortunately, it turns out that LabView has some issues dealing with different configurations when it comes to internet connections.  We are working to try and address this for an update, but haven't completed this task yet.

You can refer to this post for the link http://e2e.ti.com/support/data_converters/precision_data_converters/f/73/t/180246.aspx for the information on the link.

Let us know if you have any other questions,

    Hi Greg,

I tried installing the ADCPro launcher. It detects the internet connection and then while downloading ADCPro, it shows the following error:

We are unsure at this time of the exact nature of this problem.  You can use the below link to download the file:

    ftp://ftp.ti.com/pub/data_acquisition/ADCPro2/adcpro-setup-2.0.1.exe

    Hi Greg,

The file you mentioned is installed but the installing/connecting is asking for NI-VISA drivers.

How do I get the same?

    Sanjay -

So you have to get the LabVIEW runtime engine (and associated LV stuff) two ways:

    1. Installing the adcpro launcher (which I thought you had installed).

    2. Install the adpcro installer that contains the LabVIEW components.  This installer is much larger than the previous one that I pointed you to or the launcher downloads.  It can be found @ ftp://ftp.ti.com/pub/data_acquisition/ADCPro2/no_internet_version/adcpro-wlvrt-2.0.1.exe (current version at the time of the post).
