Hello,
i have a question about the digital decimation filter. The datasheet says that the decimation ratio on the sync filters
can be adjusted by the DR_bits in the CONFIG2 Register. But in this register i cant find any DR_bits??
How can i adjust these filters ??
Sebastian,
The DR bits are in configuration register 1, or CONFIG1. Check out page 46 of the datasheet.
Where in our documentation did you see the CONFIG2 referenced for the data-rate control bits? We need to correct this if it is present.

Hi Kevin,
i had an old version of the datasheet. In the latest version i have found the DR bits in
configuration register 1, CONFIG1. So you have already correct it in the version from January 2012.
Thank you.
Hello everbody,
is it right that the digital decimation filter works as an anti aliaging filter ??
regards
Hi Sebastian,
The digital filter does not act as an anti-aliasing filter, which is a secondary reason an external RC filter is recommended. The ADC filter structure is a sinc meaning that there is a "bouncing ball" effect around the passband. If you refer to Figure 34, you will see that the frequencies that you will have to worry fold back are functions of the fmod frequency.
