ADS1115-Q1 Internal Osecillator frequency

Hello,

Please answer following question form customer.

Could you please advice ADS1115-Q1 oscillation frequency of internal oscillator, because they want to think about noise frequency caused by this oscillator.

    Hi Toshio,

    the internal oscillator of ADS1115 is running at 1.024MHz. The delta-sigma modulator is running a 1/4th of the oscillator frequency fmod=256kHz.

    Thank you for your answer of last year.

    Customer request me to list up all frequency used in ADS1115-Q1.

    From your above answer I can list up following frequency.

    1. Oscillator: 1.024MHz
    2. Sampling and Delta Sigma Modulator: 256kHz

    Pleas advice if ADS1115-Q1 has another frequency and usage.

    Toshio-san,

    The 1.024MHz master clock and the 256kHz modulator clock are the only clock domains in the digital section of the ADS1115 (even the modulator clock is derived from four master clock counts). All sampling of the input and the reference are derived from the 256kHz clock.


    Divisions of the modulator clock are used for the different data rates of 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 250, 475, and 860 samples per second.
