DAC8760

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC8760

I'm really interested in this chip.  It fits our needs perfectly.  However, there is quite a bit of an information vacuum about it.  Can someone update the community on the details of the release of this part?  Are there any samples available yet?  We're starting a new project and would love to include this part in it.

Thanks

  • Hello Mark,

The DAC8760 is currently in preview status and has a preview product folder on www.ti.com.

If you would like to request prototype samples and/or an evaluation kit you may send a request to advanced-dac-info at list.ti.com and include the package type, quantity, your name, your company name, address, and phone number.

If you have already submitted a request to that address and have not received a response please let me know and I will handle your request directly.

  • Ya, I knew about the folder since that's where I figured out that it was a good fit for our needs.  I'll send the email requesting samples, etc.  Is there an evaluation kit for this ready?  It' not listed on the product folder.

    Thanks

  • Mark,

There is an EVM and EVM Software available for each of the products in the family, but only one package offering ( the 40-pin VQFN ).

HI kevin firstly I would like to ask you a few questions on DAC8760

    1. I created a DAC8760 header file but when I compile it I get lot of errors ( I have referred the datasheet)

errors like the some of the defined registers are being displayed as undefined

I kindly request you to share your thoughts on this and if possible guide me in this.

I m more interested in embedded and particularly the TI products they are awesome which give solutions to all the applications.

    thanking you

    with regards

  • Shruti,

I don't really have any suggestion for you based on the screenshot alone, your #define look okay. You'd probably have best success resolving this problem by posting your problem and the project to the code composer studio forum.
