LMP91000 GUI, hardware not detected

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMP91000, LMP91000EVM, WAVEVISION5

When opening the LMP91000 Graphical User Interface, I get an error "Failed to import WvBoardConfigureDllEventCallback", and once the application actually opens, a "No Hardware Detected" Error with message "Executing: WvDebugModuleModifyAll". I am using the SPIO-4 board along with the LMP91000EVM module. How might I be able to fix this? I am running Windows XP, and have gotten the same problem on two different computers. Thank you.

  • Hello,

It looks like the driver was not properly installed.

With the device connected to the computer go into the device manager select the SPIO-4 board and uninstall it.

Then disconnect the board and uninstall the GUI software.

Download the software and unzip it.

Follow the instructions in "Installation Guide For SensorAFE Drivers.pdf" which is included with the software.  This will install the driver.

Follow the instructions in "Installation Guide For LMP91000 SensorAFE Software.pdf" to install teh GUI.

  • Hi Mike,

I followed the instructions in "Installation Guide For SensorAFE Drivers.pdf" which inside with the software. But, I have been still having an error while I once the application actually opens, a "No Hardware Detected" Error with message "Executing: WvDebugModuleModifyAll". Is there anyone who can help me to fix this problem?

  • Hi Mathew,

I think the problem is the OS. The GUI doesn't work with Windows 7.

    regards,

    Domenico

  • Hi Domenico,

One of my colleague and I tried to install SPIO-4 Board with LMP91000 on Windows XP.  When we started the software, it can't find the board for SPIO-4. The data sheet is not very helpful, Can somebody please give me the right direction ??

    Thank you!

    Sincerely,

    Matthew

  • I ran into that exact problem.  I am running windows 10.

You have to go into advanced startup options in windows, and click advanced restart.
Once in the advanced startup menu, go to advanced options.
    Enable unsigned drivers.
Now start up windows, go to device manager.
Select the spio-4/nopb from the list, and update the driver from the program files.

After doing that, it worked fine for me.

    Hope that works for you.

    Tim

  • I tried this with Win10, the driver installed but I get an error when attempting to start WaveVision5. The error:
    A Hardware error has occurred
    WvBoiardEnum call returned 'false'
This is most likely caused by a failed data acquisition

    any ideas?
  • Never mind. I was barking up the wrong tree. WaveVision 5 is not compatible with the LMP91000. You need to use Senser AFE instead, located here: www.ti.com/.../toolssoftware

Driver works like a champ when installed in Windows 10 as an unsigned driver.
