Hello,

I plan to use multiple DAC161S997 in one project to generate multiple 4-20mA outputs. Before I start the design, two DAC161S997EVM were purchase to test if any issues. I did some tests. The loop+ power input was shared for two EVM boards. One issue I found is that two 4-20mA outputs are not independent. If I changed one output, the other is also changed proportional (looks like a proportional current mirror). If I seperate loop+, they are independent. What do you think the issue is?

    Hello,

    Yes, probably as you change one loop current the other is seeing that change and adjusting itself since they are connected together.  It would probably be better if each loop had its own LDO and you had the the parts tied together at VA instead.
