Hi,

Did anybody tried to drive ADS1274/1278 with an standard SPI supportive MCU ?

here is my question:

1: should I use Master SPI or Slave SPI mode in MCU side?

2: in SPI communication, we have MISO/MOSI/SS/SCLK (4wires) .. what are these pins in ADS chips?

3: what is the maximum Bit rate that I can use in data transmission ?

4: how much delay do I need to have between /(DRDY) going low to first transition on SCLK?

For reference, you might want to review SPI protocol information such as can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_Peripheral_Interface_Bus. This can answer some of your questions.

All devices that have digital interfaces generally have a timing spec section within the datasheet that provides timing requirements that you must meet for proper operation of the device. This information is located on page 8 of the ADS1278/4 datasheet.
