Isothermal block for thermocouple cold junction compensation

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1248

Hello,

I am working with the ADS1248 for data acquisition from a thermocouple. I am willing to make the cold junction compensation with a three wires PT100 as suggested in the example for temperature measurement application note.

I wanted to ask about the Isothermal block. Can I buy it or should I build it. I looked but I couldn't find anything for sale. If I should build it is there suggestions about the material or any other recommandation. I will appreciate any information you can provide.

  • Houssem,

I don't have any recommendations for the isothermal block, but you can find references online. I did a quick search for "cold junction terminal block" and found a few options and discussions about it.
