why Channel 3 on ADS1294 has an unwanted signal in about 800 Hz ?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1294

Hi.
I use ads1294 and program it's register for internally short circuit with G = 12 , Fs=2000 SPS , Vref = 4v,
after capture data , I plot PSD of 4 channels and I see an signal in about 800 Hz only in channel 3 ?

(when I use external signa fed to ADS1294, this noise is on.)why Channel 3 on ADS1294 has an unwanted signal in about 800 Hz ? why this happened and how I can eliminate it ?

Thank you.

  • I change sampling frequency to 4KSPS in low power mode, but this spike is yet !!an spike seen in PSD of short circuit externally, in about 1.48KHz.
    anybody has idea ?
  • Without knowing anything about your circuit and just looking at the PSDs that you have shown, it appears that channel 4 has some spurs in it as well at different frequencies (~315 Hz and ~630 Hz, and a small bump at ~960 Hz, which are possibly harmonics of a single noise source) ...a possible layout issue may be the cause.

Again this is with very little details on the circuit. Providing more info so others can lend a better hand in answering.
