Hello,

I am doing a project in biomedical electronics. I have chosen the ADS1292R EVM module as an analog front end for ECG acquisition. I need to interface the board with other development boards like Beaglebone Black, MSP430, C2000 for processing the data. Did anyone connect the ADS292R EVM with any other controller development boards. Please tell me how to get data outside the board. I need to use this board as a stand alone device for monitoring ECG. I need your suggestions please.!!! Thank you in Advance.

    Hello Karthikeyan,

    Welcome to our forum! While ADS1292R EVM does use an MSP430 and included firmware, it is not intended to be used as a standalone device for real-time ECG monitoring. Our EVM is used to demonstrate the ADS1292R features and performance capability only. The GUI does allow you to acquire a number of samples that can be further filtered and analyzed with the various included tools (scope, FFT, histogram, etc.). The raw data can also be exported to a text file for your own analysis.

    If your goal is to design a standalone board with the ADS1292R for your project, I would suggest familiarizing yourself with the EVM first to learn the basic required circuitry, and then design a separate PCB to interface the ADS1292R with the development board you choose.
