This forum is used for all public discussions related to TI’s precision data converters (ADCs, DACs, Modulators) (<=10MSPS).
As you are visiting our forum, you have probably encountered an issue with one of our data converters. In order to provide you with a timely and superior support experience, we would like to ask you to follow the steps outlined below before posting your question in the forum.
- Read through the device datasheet, in particular the Electrical Characteristics Table, Theory of Operation, Timing Diagram and Application sections.
- Search through the FAQ and Design Notes section. For example, many common questions for the ADS1298 family of devices can be found in the FAQ section. In this section you will find links to device specific information, example code and some typical applications.
- Check if a similar question has been asked before by searching through a list of devices or topics.
- Search through our TI Designs for examples.
- Go to the device product page and search through the available information in the Technical Documents tab for items such as application notes and user’s guides.
If you still cannot find an answer to your question, feel free to post your question on the forum using the following suggestions:
- Use a descriptive Title for your post
- Device Name - Problem Description
- A title such as ‘Can’t read from the device’ is neither descriptive nor gives us information as to which device is being used.
- Give complete information regarding your usage and the data results.
- Attach helpful information such as schematics, scope/logic analyzer shots of communication, board layout, test conditions, etc..
- Information to provide together with your post:
- Detailed problem description
- What is your input signal (for ADCs)
- Reference voltage
- Input and reference drive circuits
- Register settings used (if applicable)
- Digital control pin settings (i.e. Reset, Power Down, Start, etc.)
- Supply voltages
- Schematics & layouts (attached within the post in case your design is not confidential or submitted by direct email to pa_deltasigma_apps@ti.com with reference to post)
