I am trying to set up the ADS1298 EVM and MMB0 motherboard with my PC (Windows 7).

I have installed ADCPro and ADS1298/8R EVM Evaluation Software. The MMB0 is recognized as an NI-VISA device in my Device Manager.

When I try to run the ADS1298 Eval SW, I get to the status message 'DSP not ready...Retrying' and then I get a firmware load error popup. The MMB0 is now an Unknown Device in Device Manager. I have to reset the MMB0 to correct that.

I tried going through the ADCPro Installation Manual (SLAU372A) but I get stuck at 4.2 USBStyx Driver Installation, that may be related to my problem.

Does the ADS1298 EVM have a plugin?

Is there a document that guides me through the setup of the MMB0 with the ADS1298 EVM? I have SBAU171C but that doesn't seem address my problem.

Hey Paul,

We've seen this problem before. If you go to the link below and install the driver specific to your OS, then the issue should be fixed. Let me know whether or not this works.

Hey Paul,

Sorry about that. I think the webpage concatenates the text in the link to make it look nicer and then the browser copies the text exactly when it follows the link. Anyways, from the directory you've found you can go to data_acqisition/ADCPro2/misc/drivers. Let me know if you are able to get it to work.

Hi,
I'm also facing similar issue, but the error message is,' Download failed..reset the hardware'.
The mm0 driver installation is rolling back during installation.
please help me solve this.

Have you navigated to the ftp link I posted above and installed the driver corresponding to your OS?

Yes I did, It was rolling back the installation. By the way I uses Windows 10.

Hi, I have connected the ADS1298 to my Stm. I'm able to read the registers and write to it?
THe CLKSEL is already kept high in the board, should I connect it to my controller?

Hi,In the ADS1298 evaluation board, why is CLKSEL tied to DVDD? CLKSEL must be low since we are using external oscillator OSC1 know?

Hello Arun,

On the eval board, CLKSEL is connected to JP23 which by default is connected to ground. There is a pull-up resistor, but if the pin is connected directly to ground, the state of the pin will be "0". However, you can use the internal oscillator on the EVM by removing JP23. The device will ignore the CLK pin if CLKSEL is high.
