How is the ADS1293 microchip Programmed ?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1293

Is the ADS1293 Microchip PROGRAMMED through an Micro Controller Unit (MCU) such as a MSP430 via Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) or Directly from a USB through the ADS1293 EVM?

If someone wants to Design and Test its own Prototype, how would he move on Testing and Programming the ADS1293?

Does the ADS1293 Needs No Programming, but Only Control through Peripheral External Resistors and Capacitors Out of the Microchip-Block?

Thanks.

  • Lakis,

Yes, in your prototype you need to interface the ADS1293 to a microcontroller of choice through SPI serial communication. The internal registers of ADS1293 are listed in the datasheet starting on page 41 through 61. The registers must be configured in a setup routing for a desired mode of operation.
