With these above mentioned ECG Front end ICs, are there any rules and conventions of which I should be aware when supplying analog and digital power to the device from separate supply sources?
Specifically, during extended periods of the time when the ECG IC is idle and completely shut down, can the DVDD supply remain active while the AVDD supply is turned off? In my particular application, AVSS and DGND are at the same potential, AVDD is 2.8V and DVDD will be in the range of 2.8-3.3V.
Are there preferred on and off sequences when the two supplies are controlled separately?
I realize that the ECG ICs have very low shutdown power, my concern is the quiescent power consumed by the LDO regulator that is supplying AVDD.
