ADS1192 issue

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1192

Hello,

Our customer test ADS1192 EVM for two point EKG application on chest belt. But the signal of user standing looks ok for ECG waveform. But motion will generate more noise and hard to identify ECG signal. Do you have any suggestion for below circuit or comments? Thank you.

  • Hey Patrick,

There is nothing inherently wrong with their schematic and I can't really think of anything that could be wrong with their setup. I just think all the moving around makes the signal really noisy. They'll likely have to apply a real time digital filter and some sort of QRS detection algorithm to get the ECG information out of there. For many customers, such algorithms are proprietary, but there might be some publicly available research or IEEE content regarding cleaning up noisy ECG waveforms in the digital domain.
