ADS1299 Immunity Problems at testing in accordance to ISO 60601-1-2

we are using the ADS1299 in our company for a product. Now we are testing the RF immunity with 3V/m in accordance with ISO 60601-1-2 Chapter 6.2.3.

There are reactions in all channels, also we are shortening all channels directly on the pins.

Is there a direct support we can ask about this questions, or did arise this problem at someone else design too?

Hi Melanie,

Unfortunately, we are not the experts when it comes to the system-level challenges imposed by IEC standards for medical devices. Hopefully someone in the community is familiar with this test and can offer their insight here.

This is no system based problem. It is mainly a problem of the ADS1299.

What can be done to protect the chip from being influenced by RF signals from outside.

Is there a grounded shielding case necessary. Aren´t you testing your components for influences and EMC as it is total common in standard ISO 6060-1-1 and ISO 60601-1-2 ?

I think we are not the first ones using this component in a final product. Maybe someone else handled with this problem of the ADS 12xx family.
