Hello,

the ADS131E04 data sheet only gives information about typical current consumption. How can I estimate the maximum current consumption, at least for DVDD = 3.3 V and AVDD = 5 V (my case)?

    Hello Stafano,

    That specification only discusses quiescent current. You would have to add in power consumed by other features like the op-amp. In addition, the PGAs will source power through its feedback network as shown in Figure 42 when the input voltage is not zero. The current is also bound to change slightly across temperature. I cannot say definitively any way of estimating the maximum power consumption. I would recommend that you use a conservative engineering approach in determining power budget.
