Respiratory Clock requirement of ADS1292R

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1292R

Hi,

If the Fclk of the AFE 512KHz or 2.048MHz is driven externally from the MCU will the internal core generate the additional two clocks/signals required for the respiratory operation or we need to drive even those two(Modulation clock and Blocking signal) also from the MCU.

Regards,

Kishore.

  • Hi Kishore,

Take a look at the ADS1292R datasheet, Figure 54, page 57. The RESP_CTRL bit in the RESP1 register controls the source of the Modulation Clock and Blocking Signal. When RESP_CTRL = 0, the clock and blocking signals are created internally. When RESP_CTRL = 1, you must feed the modulation clock and blocking signal through GPIO1 and GPIO2 (respectively).
