We would like to simply test the ADS1602 analog to digital converter. So, we gave 500 KHz sinusoidal wave as input to the ADS1602 on our custom board. And the output DOUT and ground of ADS1602 are connected to our oscilloscope. Unfortunately, we do not see any digital output on our oscilloscope. So, I'm wondering if I need to do any extra initial step to start the ADS1602 or not. Do I need to send a signal to the ADS1602 to start it? If yes, how should I do it?
We also have the OMAP L138 LCDK, in case we need to generate any signal to activate the ADS1602.
