ADS7953EVM-PDK: Configuration and Settings

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS7953

Hi Support,

Customer is using a WIFI module from Espressif (ESP32) and connect to the ADS7953 daughter board.

Is it ok to use 1 bias circuit to support all 16 channels inputs. Do you have any reference design for this?

In addition, any programming guide for ADS7953 and also the necessary settings to configure the ADC?

What is the default setting upon power up?

Thanks.

  • Hello Ikon

Do you mean to say that customer is using single op-amp between MUXOUT and ADCIN pin for signal conditioning. If that is the case can you let me know what is the input signal swing seen by each channel. Please let me know if i have interpreted your question correctly

Also do you have block level implementation of what is customer trying to do. More Information on input channel connection, AVDD power supply connection, REFIN input connection would help.

    Thanks & Regards

    Abhijeet

  • Hello Abhijeet,

Customer is using the ADS7953 EVM board, can we assume that  MUXOUT to ADCIN is a direct connection?

Peak-to-peak input signal swing will be about 3V.

Currently just directly connecting the eval board to ESP32 module.

    Thanks.

  • Hi Abhijeet,
    Any update?
    Thanks.
  • Hello Ikon

If input signal frequency is not high (few Hz) then it should be ok to short MUXOUT and ADCIN. If you have input source with high impedance and need AC performance then you may need amplifier between MUXOUT and ADCIN pin

    Thanks & Regards
