Starterware/PGA970EVM: PGA970GUI Waveform Generation

Part Number: PGA970EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PGA970

Tool/software: Starterware

Dear TI-Team,

currently i'm checking the PGA970-EVM with the GUI for a new application.
In this application we want to use an LVDT-Sensor with the PGA970.
For this application i want to generate a carrier signal with 20kHz.
In the datasheet i have read that the waveform generator DAC sample rate
is 1MSPS. If i use the GUI to populate the corresponding waveform,
i have found out, that the sine signal frequency with the generated
waveform is exactly 20.833kHz (1MSPS/12/4).
I want to use the ADC1 for sampling of the secondary side of the LVDT.
Now the problem i have found out is the settings of the band pass filter.
For my application i must use the center frequency of 20kHz. There is a
difference between the carrier frequency and the BPF center frequency
of 833Hz. The maximum BPF band width setting is 250Hz. So i think if i
use this setting, my signal is located in the side band of the BPF.
Is this correct?

Can i bypass the BPF?

In the datasheet i can found a LVDT waveform generator DAC resolution of 14Bit.
Can you tell me if my observation is true, that the DAC maximum code
bevor clipping is round about 5000 digits? I have expacted this value
is 8191?
