ADS1210: Reset timing

Hi,

I would like to ask you a question about "reset timing" of ADS1210.

I have found that the reset timing that is defined at "old data sheet" is different from the latest one as below.

The old one needs "3 pulse" to reset. But the latest one need "2 pulse" to reset.

Let me ask you 2 questions,

Q1) Why was the reset timing changed?

Q2) In case of using the old timing, what will happen?

Is it OK to use old timing?

This newer timing goes back to at least the year 2000 time frame datasheet and is not a recent change. The digital designer for this part no longer works at TI, and one of the analog designers thinks that they may have found there was a need to adjust the timing based on characterization. So unfortunately I cannot give a specific answer as to why the timing was changed. Also, we do not have a means of testing the old reset timing as we know longer have the 20 year old bench board and software to conduct this test. I would suggest using the timing in the current datasheet, or the customer can verify the timing themselves.
