CCS/PGA900: PGA900 EVM debug question

Part Number: PGA900

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

When debug the PGA900 EVM with CCS 7.3.0.00019 , it appears one warning:section PGA900.out(.text) was padded by 2 to a size of 3147 to satisfy the specified memory width of 4”。When click "Debug", it would appears “Device is locked up in Hard Fault or in NMI. Reset the device, and retry the operation. If error persists, confirm configuration, power-cycle the board, and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK). (Emulation package 7.0.48.0)”. Could you please give me some advice? Very appreciated。

Best regards

Kailyn

  • Hi Kailyn,

How was the .out file generated? If it was built from the generic firmware available on ti.com make sure that you have the correct compiler version as specified in the PGA900 software quickstart guide (www.ti.com/.../sldu015a.pdf). You may need to revert to an older version of the compiler, and you will need to follow the steps from this link: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Compiler_Updates

If you are using an XDS200 or similar JTAG interface, and you have followed the steps in the software quickstart guide to set up the target settings and the compiler version and the problem persists, please report back.

    Regards,
