ADS1293: ESD protection

Is ESD protection built into the ADS1293 device or should external ESD protection be included in the design with TVS devices for robustness? I don't have experience with this.

The guide SLVA680 has some ideas. No device suggestions, though.

    Welcome to the forum and thanks for your interest in the ADS1293!

    The ESD ratings for the device can be found in section 7.2:
    1kV for the human body model and 500V for charged device model.

    Depending on where your power source is coming from, (AVDD, DVDD) you may wish to include additional ESD protection. This is outside of the scope of my expertise though and I recommend heading over to the TVS forum for their advice once a power source has been chosen.

    I do not typically see ESD protection on the analog/digital I/O.
