I have a question about the CPU (MSP430F5528) on the FDC 2214 EVM board.

1) Is it possible to provide MSP430F5528 software?
Where can I get it?

2) What exactly are the software of MSP430F5528 doing?
Is it only sending and receiving data from FDC 2214 directly to PC application via USB?

We do not provide the MSP430F5528 source firmware. All that it does is act as the USB interface so that you can read and write to the FDC2214 registers from the Sensing Solutions GUI.

I'm not entirely sure what you are asking. The firmware only acts as an in-between for the GUI and the FDC2214.

I looked around, and you can access the source code for one of the FDC2214 TI designs (although this uses a different MSP430): www.ti.com/.../TIDA-00474

The content you want to hear is below.

1) The software of msp 430 only reads the data of FDC 2214.
2) Is the windows application the same?
Is the windows application doing some kind of filter processing?
Is there a source code for the windows application?

1) Correct
2) The windows application does some of the math for you to make setting registers easier. I do not believe that there is any filtering. The register map page can be used to only do register read/writes.

The data streaming tab outputs raw codes or converts the raw code to a capacitance. It also has a statistics display that can be helpful when analyzing the data.

The source code for the GUI is not distributed, but I can answer any questions you might have about how particular features work.
