Hello Drake, A good test to verify it is not something to do with the input is to put the device into test-mode by setting the TEST pin high and collecting data. If you still see radically different A side-B side matching data, then you can look to the reference or supply or something systemic...

Drake, We did some ballpark measurements on an EVM for a newer DDC product EVM and found trace capacitance to be from 9pF to 11.5pF. I would expect the DDC114 EVM traces would be similar. There is a document on the DDC112 EVM kit from 2000 that goes into some detail about how to lay out traces...

Hello Sir, First, Thanks for your great support and quick response. 1) Actually i get the initial counts by applying 20 clock pulses(without any load on the load cell). And i store this counts in a variable(h_count).This counts is always a positive binary numbers. But in rare cases i observed that...

Dear Sir, I interfaced ADS1230 with 8051.Its working fine, for the load cells 10kg,20kg,50kg......100kg.When connecting these load cells the internal counts(initial ADC counts without load) of the ADC will remains in positive,so there is no problem to calibrate and also it shows the exact weight. ...

Dear Bob, I need to clarify some doubts regarding the PCB design while using ADS1230.I already designed one and its working, but some times the internal counts are drifting upto 5 -6 counts, and this drifting is reflecting on the external counts. As per your information i separated the Analog supply and...
