Hello Community, I'm an university student (UAG) from Mexico and I think I finished my schematic of the system I'm doing. My questions are mostly to the ADS1194. I would like to use the single supply configuration and I saw in the datasheet (page 64) that DVDD must be equal to +1.8 V and AVDD...

Hello, I'm using a ADS1194 for a ECG framework, but there's something I don´t really understand. I can only have a 3 lead equipment (I,II,III), I don´t want a clinical ECG, only for a simple monitoring. Do I need a forth because of the RLD? Thanks

Q - How do I use the internal voltage measurement tests? A - Set the desired channel(s) in CHnSET and set the gain = 1. For the internal voltage reading on channels 1, 2 and 5-8 the conversion result will be equal to the difference of (AVDD - AVSS)/2. For channels 3 and 4, it is DVDD/4. For a 5V...

Hello Tom, I'm having some problems to get some data from the ADS1194, does it need the DRDY port to be connected to an interrupt port from the uC in order to catch when is in clear state? Best Regards, Pascal.

Hi Tom, Ok! I'm sending all the configuration through SPI and when I'm trying to catch the clear pulse of DRDY I can't get it because I have it with a normal GPIO, I will change my hardware and I'll try again. Best Regards, Pascal.

Hi Tom, After a long time I modified the PCB, now I am able to see the data coming from the device but I still have some problems with synchronization I think... After seeing the data through the logic analyzer, I can see that everything is ok but when I try to catch this data I get everything...

Hi Tom, I still have the same results, any other idea? I know that I'm over the minimum limit of the SPI timing but is it correct my baud rate configuration? Anyway I attach the modified code and the Logic Analyzer image. Best Regards, Pascal. (Please visit the site to view...

Hi Tom, Sorry for my delay, I was a little busy. Why did you added this 2 lines after ADS1194_init()? Did you tested the code? I still have some problems getting the information. It looks like is out of phase because if I start debugging it from the beginning (doing steps over) I get all the information...

Hello Tom! Finally I found the problem and it was a timing issue, now I can see the ECG signal :) (Please visit the site to view this file) I'm leaving here a working driver for the ADS1194 using the MSP430FG4618, I hope someone will be happy to see it in the future :) By the way I answered...

Hi Pascal, For the ADS1194, you need to send the SDATAC command during your initialization to ensure you program the registers correctly. It looks like you are doing this just prior to entering the writes to the configuration registers. The code snippet that programs CONFIG 1,2,3 is only writing to...

Dear Experts, I have been able to make a 2 electrode system using discrete components to get a clean lead1 ECG. To reduce the size and power consumption, I was thinking on using ADS1194 to design an ECG patch using just 2 electrodes to get lead I for rhythm detection. We intend to make a CR2032 powered...
