Hi,
I've been looking at the TVP5160 for a project I'm working on. The question is, how many Composite video inputs can be sampled simultaneously? I think it's just 1, but I wanted to be sure. I know there's a mux that can select between 12 different inputs, but can I sample 2 of them at the same time, as long as each goes to separate ADCs internally.
Thanks for your help
Regards,
James
On the TVP5160 datasheet ( http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/tvp5160.pdf SLES135E )
Chapter 2 - Functional Design, Have the detailed scheme of the Inputs, Muxer and ADCs.
Chapter 3.1 Register Definition. On Table 3-4 shows the possibilities of digitalized video output
But you can only sample one input at time, the Dual ADC are used by SCART standard and Digital Overlay there is more information on the SLEA016 Application Note.
I don't have past experience with this component, but I did not find any information in technical documents taht indicates that i'm wrong.
I am also looking at a TVP5160 project, I want to make a standalone comb filter that takes a composite input and outputs S-Video (Chroma and Luma separated)
If anyone on here would like to help the project, drop me a line.
