hi ti,

we have decided to use tvp5154a for our design since we require to process 2 composite videos simultaneously .. is there any reference design other than TVP5154EVM,is it interfaced with any of your multimedia ARM processors? where can i find the software drivers (linux and wince) for this chip...? pls suggest..

    we needed a 2 channel video adc which can simultaneously take 2 analog pal input video signals and provide 2 independent separate digital data channel output simultaneously? currently we are using TVP5146, which has 2 separate channels for input video but the problem is it can only process one channel at a time. switching to another video input channel requires to change its video input select register config. TVP5146 is generally has a MUX whose to which the inputs are given.. only one channel will actually reach the ADC.

    TVP5158 was a choice(but it had embedded SYNC signals, there is no hsync and vsync),Also we needed a video decoder with exclusive sync signals ( HSYNC and VSYNC) , so went for TVP5154A..

    Can u also also provide a link to download WiNVCC software for TVP5154EVM.. its mentioned in userguide but no provided on ti's TVP5154EVM webpage...

    By the way.. we r trying to interface it with AM437x...

    Hi, The WinVCC SW is not useful if you dont have a EVM in hand.
    I can provide the configuration file for WinVCC which demostrate how to configure the TVP registers.

    My question is , are you going to use 2 output ports which means output 2 ch video seperately,
    Or just using one video port, which means 2-ch data are mixed output on one video port?

    Yes we r using avip1a and avip2a of tvp5154 to feed 2 separate composite pal videos from 2 different cameras, and config tvp5154 to digitize them simultaneously...  So pls  send the cmd or config file to initialize tvp5154

    Why not use 2 TVP device, like 2 TVP5147 instead of using 1 TVP5154a ?  There are 2 channel are wasted.

    pls send all cmd files which are located under "C://program files/texas instruments/WinVCC/TVP5154EVM/Initilization" since the evm software package also includes demo cmd files for scalar operations along with TVP5154 initilization command file....

    we r not using two TVP5147 becoz of space constraints on the PCB as well as it will be more power hungry...

    thank u once again.. pls mail them to me in a zipped format as soon as possible.

    can u also provide a reference schematic for speeding up the process of design... any reference design interfacecd
    with sitara processors would help us a lot :)
