TVP7002 The missing color when power supply starts up

Hi,

My customer is evaluating the TVP7002.

It is happened that the missing color when power supply starts up on TVP7002 circuit.

The occurrence frequency　is 40-50%.

The monitor is following.

They have confirmed that ADC_SETUP_DATA is same with ADC_Read_DATA and the reset sequence has no problem.

And when input signal is only Y the missing color is not happened.

So they guess that the reason is the timing error of Y/Pb/Pr.

Could you please tell me how to solve this problem?

Please let me know if it has lack of information, and if you need the circuit diagram I'll send it by e-mail

I dont quite understand your question.

What do you mean by It is happened that the missing color when power supply starts up on TVP7002 circuit ?

Is the power supply of the 7002 circuit and the mainchip circuit be powered up seperately ?

What resolution are you using? And have you tried other resolutions?

No, the power supply of the 7002 and the mainchip circuit are common.
Just after power supply starting up, the missing code happens.

Kuramochi-san,

Some questions:
- A new design or old design?
- Has customer try other video sources/resolutions
- Is there any test result can show color reverse?

I answer in the following;

>What resolution are you using? And have you tried other resolutions?
The Resolution is 1080i /60Hz 59.97Hz
The missing color does not happens on 720P/60Hz

> A new design or old design?
This is a new design.

> Has customer try other video sources/resolutions
The missing color happens regardless of the video source.

> Is there any test result can show color reverse?
They don't have the other test result.

Please let me know if there is a lack of the information.

Make sure that there is a delay between power up and TVP7002 I2C configuration.

Try resetting the processor again to see if this is truly a power up issue of a configuration timing issue.

I'm just waiting for my customer's answer.

In addition, I would like to confirm the substitute product of TVP7002.
The status of the TVP7002 is NRND(not recommened product).
Is there any substitute product ?
