We connected TVP7002 to DM6467. Now the VESA(1280x720x60@R,G,B) video was converted by TVP7002 to 4:2:2 YCbCr data. We now found a problem about RGB2YCbCr mode. The "green" seems "black" The "blue" is very "blue" The "white" is also ok The "red"...

I currently use the DM6467 EVM which has TVP7002 in its component video input. I noticed that when I connect a source which outputs 800X600@60 resolution to the EVM component input, the TVP7002 identifies this resolution as 720P as indicated by its 'lines per frame' register (lines per frame...

The TVP7002 required a VSYNC event to update lines per frame status. It is possible that the MUX for selecting the VSYNC input pin is not set correctly, following the swich to a graphics format. If a VSYNC event is not detected, the lines per frame status will not update and could contain old data from...

There is one thing I didn't mention in my previous message, which does not settle with your explanation: When I change the refresh rate of the 800X600 resolution to 200HZ (in the source connected to the component input), the 'lines per frame' changes to indicate 1080 lines. How is this...

One correction - the inidication for 1080 lines happens when I set resolution to 1024X768@200Hz . Anyway, I added toggling of SP reset and even then the indication in 'lines per frame' is 1080, i.e. value of 0x465.

We do not have have a true XGA 200Hz source, but when an XGA 60Hz progarmmable source was used with VSYNC set to 200 Hz (HSYNC left at 48.363KHz), the line count read back was 242 as expected (60/200x806lines). Dave, Are you using this device with a YPbPr input? If so, that may be your issue. The TVP5150 is a composite, Svideo analog video decoder. It does not support component or YPbPr video inputs. You will need a TVP7002 video triple ADC to digitize Y/Pb/Pr. Hope this helps. Regards, Kevin

David, DIV2=1 has been used for ADC testing, and in some cases it is used with 2x HPLL feedback divider to improve PLL jitter. When used with a 2x HPLL feedback divider (2x total pixels per line) the horizontal resolution will be unchanged. When used with 1x HPLL feedback divider (standard total...

Thanks Larry, From what I can tell, the TVP7002 is for component video, and RS-343 is a Composite signal so unless I'm mistaken, I don't think this would work. I appreciate the help though.

Logan, Monochrome RS343 shouldn't have any color or chrominance present, so YC separation shouldn't be necessary. You should be able to treat it as the luminance (Y) component. If support for color composite video is requried, then a video decoder would be requried.
