CCS 5.1.1.00033 crash (Linux and Windows)
I'm trying to debug SPL/U-Boot on a DM3730 EVM but keep running into a failure when I launch the Debug session. The flow is the same as found here...
The error produced when hitting the launch button is
An internal error occurred during: "Launching DM3730_SPL". java.lang.NullPointerException
This occurs in both the Linux and Windows version. This error does NOT occur in either version of 5.1.0.09000.
Although I will try to get a SDcard and a DM37x board to try this out, this issue seems very related to your IDE (thus I am not sure if I will be able to reproduce it here).
In the meantime, may I suggest you to try to open a brand new workspace and clean some debug cache files (check the sections General IDE and Debugger of the troubleshooting page)? I've seen these issues happen especially when upgrading from older versions.
I will let you know what I get in my setup environment here, ok?
Thanks for sending the development environment info. I just mentioned the SD card only to try to reproduce this here... That's what I will try to do and see if there is an inherent issue with CCSv5.1.1 or if I find something else.
Have you had a chance to test this?
