CCS v5.1.1.00031 crashes during Startup in Windows 7

I have installed CCS v 5.1.1.00031 on my Win 7 machine and am seeing a crash when trying to start it up. The splash screen comes up and I am asked to choose a workspace location. When I am done with that and press OK, then I get an error dialog box which points me to a .log file. I have attached it to the post.
What could be the reason for the crash I am seeing?
    Archith

      Hi Archith,

could you please reattache the log?  It does not seem to be there.  Also please attache the contents of your installjammer registry directory (typically under Program Files(x86))

      Things to double check

      - did you make sure to unzip the installer before isntalling?

      - did you unzip the installer and install CCS in directories with no special or accented characters?

      - what device support did you install?

      - can you make sure you have visual c redistributable 2005 installed?  You can search for vcred*.exe on your computer and run it to be sure if you would like.  (2005 version)

      Please keep us informed.

      Best Regards,
      Lisa

      Lisa,

Thanks for your response. Sorry, didnt look back to see if the log got actually attached. This problem got fixed with a Google search of the key words in the log:

"!MESSAGE An error occurred while automatically activating bundle com.ti.ccstudio.debug.server"

directing me to the CCSv5 FAQ. This is the entry that helped out

      http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Troubleshooting_CCSv5

and it corroborates with your tip.

I did as the entry said and CCS is working fine for me.

      Thanks again,

      Archith
