      hi,

i installed CCSv5.1 and peripheral examples for F28035 control card. but i cannot import any of the examples to CCS.

i copy the directory of an example file and paste it into 'import existing ccs exlipse project' browser. but it gives this error. i installed complete set of CCS twice but the result is the same.

      HI Hasan,

when you installed CCS, did you install C2000 support?  What C2000 compiler versions do you have in your isntallation?  You can see this if you go to Window->Preferences->COde Composer Studio->Build->COde Generation TOols.   COuld you please send a screen shot.

What if you do not copy anything?  Please try Project->Import exsisting CCS/Eclipse project and do it that way by browsing to the example in its original form.  What if you try to bring in the example from the TI Resource Explorer?

Do you get asked if you wish to migrate the project to newer code generation tool version?

A few further details will help us here so that we can try to get you working with the example/CCS.

      Best Regards,
      Lisa

this is the screenshot of the compilers you asked. i tried to import the project by browsing, but it's the same error again, also when i tried to use resource explorer.

this is the only error/warning it shows, nothing else.

      Hi Hasan,

ok I believe you are getting this error because the example was created with C2000 code generation(compiler) v5.2 and you only seem to have an old 4.x version of the C2000 compiler.  CCS can convert to a newer version but can not convert back to an older one.  This is the problem.

So you need to get compiler v5.2 or newer.  Could you please go to

Help->Check for Updates and please see what code generation and emulation updates you have.  Please try to get the newer compiler version this way.

Keep us informed how that goes.

      Best Regards,
      Lisa

i did the updates and installed them as you told, but it shows the same message. checked for the updates again, there's nothing to update anymore.

what should i do now? this is the new screenshot of the list.

      Hi Hasan,

so there were no C2000 updates found at all?  No updates at all?  Ok, please try through Help->Install New Software and in the drop down menu select "all available sites".  Please let me know what you see/check whether you can get the C2000 update there.

While you double check that I am going to check here whether I will be able to send you a newer version offline.  We unfortunately don't have the full version of the C2000 compiler posted, so I would need permission to send this out.

Once again, please keep us informed.

      Best Regards,
      Lisa

      Hi Hasan,

yes please give that a try.  If it does not update your compiler version, please send me a friend or conversation request and I will send it offline.

      Best Regards,
      Lisa

      HI Hasan,

I am not sure there is anything else I can do.  Try from a command prompt.  ftp ftppickup.ti.com ..etc ... all instructions are in what I send ... ID, password it is step by step all there.

      Keep us informed.

      Best Regards,

      Lisa
