      Hi Hasan,

could you please make sure CCS is finding it?  Have a look at that Code Generation Tools list we have checked a couple times.  Window->Preferences->Code Composer Studio->Build->Code Generation Tools.

If installed properly it should show up there and this is also where you can manually point CCS to it.

      Please keep us informed.

      Best Regards,
      Lisa

      Hi Hasan,

this means it is not properly installed.  What error does it give?  Hover over it and it should tell you.  Are you using Win 7?  If so double check if under c:\ti ... where the compiler was unzipped there is not an extra folder.  Ie two folder in a row with the same name.  We have seen the built in unzip in win 7 adds a directory/folder like this.

      Please keep us informed.

      Best Regards,

      Lisa

i am using win7, and i unzipped the compiler just inside the ti folder. i chose the installation directory manually as c:\ti \ccsv5\ tools\ compiler does that cause a problem?

      Hi Hasan,

as long as you double check win 7 did not "duplicate" a directory and you pointed CCS to the compiler you should be fine.

Do you have a directory one after the other with the same name?  (what I mean by duplicate directory)  What error do you get?  What does it say when you hover over the x?

      Best Regards,
      Lisa

      Hi Hasan,

that is odd you get that error.  I may need to get a bit of support from some colleagues here.

However, one thing I would like you to try is to open the TI Resource Explorer and try to import the example that way.  Do you have Control Suite installed?

One easy way to do this is to try bringing in the/an example by going to Project->CCS Example Projects ...

      Please keep us informed.

      Best Regards,
      Lisa

      Hi Hasan,

we are at a bit of a loss as this should work.

We are wondering if your CCS installation has an issue or got corrupted somehow.  You did try a fresh workspace? Could you try to import a different example, like one of the ones for F2806x or F28M3 .. something created for CGT 6.0.x and see if those import properly. That may give some clues if the CGT version is the issue or if his CCS itself might have a problem.

      Please keep us informed.

      Best Regards,
      Lisa

      Hi Hasan,

hmmm .   Could you test if you are successful or if you get the same error message for all projects (ie) try some others under F2803x or F2802x etc.

If you find one, you even zip up one that works for us.

      Please keep us posted.

      Best Regards,

      Lisa

      Hi Hasan,

we are still at a loss here as we simply can not reproduce this at all.  It could be something got corrupted in your CCS installation or it could still be to do with the code generation tools.

Before suggesting a clean CCS install, let me send you another C2000 compiler version offline to try and install.

I will send you the message in a while and just please keep us informed whether you can install this version successfully and if so then import the examples you are hoping to use.

      Best Regards,

      Lisa

i've tried to get the compiler from pickup three times, but it says "no such file or directory" for the ti_cgt_c2000_5.2.0_setup_win32.zip file.
