I am teaching a subject on DSP to B.Tech. Students. I have CCS v3.3 installed on my PC. I want to simulate simple assembly & C programs of LF2407 DSP. I dont have hardware for this DSP. I only want to do simulation. I could not find c2xx simulator in CCS v3.3. I also tried with CCS4 and CCS5 but they dont support LF2407 DSP.  In which version of CCS i can do this or any other solution for simulation of LF2407 device without hardware.

      Hi,

Unfortunately we don't have a F24x simulator available, therefore there is no solution to this problem.

Although it may not be very practical for your subject, I strongly suggest you to either try to use a more modern device (CCSv4 and v5 have a F283x simulator) or even a different architecture (C6000 has great device simulators).

      Hope this helps,

      Rafael

If you have a full version of CCSv3, it comes with many 28x simulators. If you have a CCS version that came in a kit, usually that version is designed to only work with the hardware it came with and does not support any other targets.

      Thanks

      ki
