    Hi,

    This is an emergency.

My CCS v5 90-day evaluation license just expired, and I tried to use the free limited license, but it didn't work.

Can anyone tell me how to change the license, or provide a link to the instruction.

    Thank you,

    Frank

I know how to do it with CCS v4, but v5 is different.

      Frank,

Have you extended the eval license yet?  If not there is an extension available here:

      http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/FAQ_-_CCSv5#Q:_Where_is_the_link_to_the_90_day_eval_license.3F

As far as switching to the limited one do you mean the code size limited one or the one that is tied to development kits / xds100?

      John

Can I still extend the eval license after a 90-day version?

      Thanks,

      Frank

      Hi John,

I mean the one that is tied to xds100.

      Thanks,

      Frank

      Hi John,

I downloaded the license from the link you provided above, and it is working now.

      Thanks a lot,

      Frank

Cool.  I don't have CCS in front of me at the moment but I thought you could get to the free xds100 license from the license setup dialog but it is possible that it only shows it the first time.  Help -> Code Composer Studio Licensing Information.  The it is probably on the Upgrade tab and a button that says launch license setup.  However even if that works it will use the new 90 day eval until it expires before it tries to find a different license file.

I will check the license dialog tomorrow and if the option is not there I will attach a license file to this thread that you can use later.

      Regards,

      John

Here is a license file you can drop in for using the XDS100 when the 90 day extension expires.
