    Hello,

I have tried to update my CCS V5.1.0.09000. Available updates shows that a V5.2.0.00069 release ready.

Updater brings up an error message:

Does anyone knows what the problem might be?

    Best regards,

    Patrick

      Hi Patrick,

there have been some known issues with the updater, this is especially true if you had initially used the lite installer.

Have you turned of any antivirus programs?  Have you/are you willing to install 5.2 fresh into a new directory?  Unfortunately you may not have another option but to do that.

      Please keep us informed.

      Best Regards,

      Lisa

The error is saying that although the update description was found (IE, Eclipse was able to retrieve the XML files that describe the available update and display the update in the UI), when Eclipse went to start downloading the update contents, it wasn't able to successfully retrieve parts of the content.  This could be due to one of the usual network culprits: proxys and/or firewalls.

An alternative to doing the update this way is to download the full 5.2.0 installer package and extract it to a folder. Run the installer from there and give the location of your existing CCS v5.1.0 install as the install location. This will update the install components in a similar way to what the update would have done.  If you want both versions, you can install 5.2.0 into a different folder.

      Thanks.

I have installed the CCS V5.2 (with full installer) into the same directory (as CCS V5.1 was) without any issues so far. By the way: this was the first update that did not work over the internal update manager.
