    Hi there,

I tried to install CCS v3.2 several times but all got Error msg: Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personal or package venor.

My system is Windows XP SP3, and I almost did every suggestion I can find online: updated my windows installer, deleted all previous msi files, etc. but none of them works. Can anyone tell me what should I do to fix it? Thanks so much!

I've attached the log file. Thanks again.

      Ethan,

From the log you sent it seems you are having the same problem as mentioned in the CCS FAQ. Check this entry.

      Baris,

I am not sure if you are having the exact same issue, but check if your install log (located in C\) shows a similar issue as Ethan's.

      Hope this helps,

      Rafael

      Rafael, I apreciate for your reply;

Unfortunately that entry did not solved our problem :(( but; we solved it in different way.  : ))

Before installing CCSv3.3; go Start / Control Panel / Regional Settings / Location: USA - Language: English (USA)

Başlat / Denetim Masası / Bölge ve Dil Seçenekleri / Konum: A.B.D. - Tercihler: İngilizce (A.B.D.)

After changing these settings; then no problem with installation and after installation; you can change  these settings as they were...

      Everything works fine.

      Thank you very much,

      Barış

      Barış,

Thanks for reporting that internationalization may affect the installers as well - I haven't had this problem with my system (Brazilian Portuguese), but it is surely good to know. I will add it to the FAQ entry.

      Best regards,

      Rafael

      Hello,

I have apparantly the same problem as you all (error 1722), here is the end of the log file :

      Action start 16:04:47: InstallFinalize.

DEBUG: Error 2835:  The control ErrorIcon was not found on dialog ErrorDialog

      Internal Error 2835. ErrorIcon, ErrorDialog

Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.  Action SETUPinstallBios, location: D:\setup\DSP_BIOS\dsp_bios_setupwin32_5_31_02_08.exe, command: -options "C:\CCStudio_v3.3\options.txt" -silent

MSI (s) (38:44) [16:11:17:640]: Product: Code Composer Studio v3.3 -- Error 1722.

Action ended 16:11:17: InstallFinalize. Return value 3.

I've seen some people in the forum having exactly the same problem as me, i posted a message but got no answer...

It appears that there is a modified msi file that could fix the problem, is that true?

If so, could you please send it zipped (i'm afraid my company could consider a msi file as a virus) to :

      daniel.fernandes.external@eads.com

The problem is now showstopper in my project,

      Best regards,

      Daniel

I only have the files for CCS v3.3. 3.2 has not been supported in quite some time. I suggest migrating to at least 3.3 (or even better - CCSv4)

      Thanks

      Alper; yukarıda yazdığım çözüme bak.

Tüm laboratuvardaki bilgisayarlarda denedik, sorun çözüldü.

CCS 3.3 kurulmadan önce bölgesel ayarları amerika yaparsan kurulum sorunsuz tamamlanıyor.

Kurulum bitiminde tekrar ayarları eski haine döndirsen de sorun çıkmıyor.
