    "Rude" blind updates in CCS4

CCS4 just informed me that an update was available so I clicked yes  assuming I would be presented with a list of updates and their release notes like CCS3.x does. However, at NO point was there any notification of WHAT was getting updated or WHY. I was never supplied any relelase notes to know if I even needed the update or if it broke something I was counting on working. It is not even clear how to UNINSTALL a hostile update.

What's up with this customer hostile behavior?? Even Microsoft Auto-update shows more respect than this nonsence. There has to be a more civil way than these rude blind updates. Strike 2 against Eclipse.

I agree. More information on what you are getting with the update should be provided, so you can un-select the update if you don't like the contents. I filed bug number SDSCM00035339 regarding this issue.

      Thanks

      Hi Calvin,

Just to follow up - with the 4.1.1 update, there is a button for "more info" where it will link to the release notes. Were you looking at the 4.1.1 update or something earlier?

      Thanks

      ki
