CCS4 command line project creation issues

    Hi Folks,

I am trying to create a project on c674x device using command line with CCS4 version 4.1.0.02006

I have some issues in getting the project created as per my requirements Some of these questions are listed below.

    1. Is it possible to specify -ccs.args options recursively? I am able to use multiple files having project creation options from the main command line using -ccs.args file1 ccs.args file2 etc.. Is it posiible to spcify -ccs.args file3 in file options? I am getting some error when I try to use like so. Wanted to know if specifying argument files recursively is supported or not?

    2. What's the way to specify xdctools option? I need to specify build configuration file and and set --xdcpaths option while creating project.

    3. When I include library files with -l option, what's the order in which they appear in the project? I have --priority set and I want the projects to appear in priority as from top lib1

    lib2

    lib3

    When I use -l lib1 -l lib2 -l lib3 -i lib1searchpath -i lib2searchpath -i lib3searchpath; they appear in below order:

    lib3

    lib1

    lib2

How do I get my desired order?

lib3 is rts6740.lib and lib2 is rts library from ROM. I have specified rt6740.lib as run time support library. Is this related to that anyways?

Thanks in advanced for your support,

    Regards,

    Meena

      Hi Meena,

      1. Yes.  A bug has been fixed in this area for CCSv4.1.2 - SDSCM00035464. You can workaround this bug in CCSv4.1.1 by placing your arg-files into the workspace directory, or by specifying an absolute path for the topmost arg-file.
      2. You can use the -ccs.setBuildOption <id> "<value>" flag to set the options on XDCtool:
        -------
        -ccs.setBuildOption com.ti.rtsc.*.XDC_PATH "c:/temp"
        -ccs.setBuildOption com.ti.rtsc.*.XDC_PATH "c:/test"
        -ccs.setBuildOption com.ti.rtsc.*.BUILD_CONFIGURATION_FILE "c:/temp/bc.txt"
        -------
        Use the
-ccs.listBuildOptionIDs flag (together with the -rtsc.enableRtsc flag) first to list all the available XDCtool build-options.
      3. Support has been added for this in CCSv4.1.2 - a new optional "@prepend" annotation was added to the ccs.setCompilerOptions/setLinkerOptions/setBuildOption flags.  This gives you full control over the order of all list-type options.  [SDSCM00035451]

      Hi Baltasar,

Can you please show how to use the --include_path option in ccs.setBuildOption.

      Will it be like

      -ccs.setBuildOption  "--include_path /home/prog/inc"

      regards

      Soumya

      Hi Soumya,

The -ccs.setBuildOption flag has been deprecated and replaced by the simpler to use -ccs.setCompilerOptions/setLinkerOptions.

To append a directory to the include-path, use -ccs.setCompilerOption "--include_path=/home/prog/inc".
