CCS/LAUNCHXL-F28379D: CSSv7 do not have LAUNCHXL-F28379D in Resource explorer selection.

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-F28379D

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi ! I just starting out with microcontrollers and choosed

MSP-EXP430F5529LP

LAUNCHXL-F28379D

as starting point. I totally understand that F28379D is overkill for absolute beginner but I am interested because its integrated DAC.

I downloaded CSSv7 and first worked with exp430f5529LP. it was OK. Now I hooked up F28378D LP and  this board is not in my selection list in CSSv7. In internet I see, that its introduction tutorials were made using CSSv6.

Do I need download separate package for F28378D LP support ?

    Hi,

Did you select the C2000 Device support family when installing CCS? If not, check the reference below that may help you:

  • Hi Andrus,
If you are talking about the Device/Board selection list in Resource Explorer, then yes, it is a known issue. Only devices are listed for C2000, not boards. Please filter by device for now (F28379D)

    Thanks
    ki
