CCS/MSP430F5438: Unfamiliar CCS error message

Part Number: MSP430F5438

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I get a similar message when Launching my application

An internal error occurred during: "Launching myapplication".  com/ti/dvt/energytrace/af/PowerActivity

And when I go to the preferences page

Windows -> Preferences > Code Composer Studio -> Advanced Tools -> EnergyTrace Technology

"Unable to create the selected preference page.   An error occurred while automatically activating bundle com.ti.dvt.energytrace (456)"

I've done two reinstalls of CCS to fight this issue.

Any suggestions?

Please see item 7 in this page. Using a new workspace should resolve the error.

The specific problem had something to do with a corrupted workspace, or too little space left on the virtual drive the VMware instance of Windows had. I did some heavy trimming, both in my Host OS (my Mac OS laptop), then in that VMware instance of Windows. This included deleting most c:/TI directories (which could be reloaded), and reloading all the TI pieces. Including refreshing the CCS 7.4 (although not trying to move beyond that).

Finally, when I reinstalled my workspace from backups, and GIT, it compiled cleanly. Whew! A couple of days lost on that. But I'm happy I'm back developing.
