CCS: CCS Outline view improvement

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello!

When editing SYSBIOS configuration with XGConf, Outline view shows modules used and modules' subitems. However, there seems to be just alphabetical sorting. At least for threading modules it would be nice to sort them according to priorities. Compare outline view of CCSv8 with configuration editor of CCSv3.3:

Next, in Available products view of CCS I would sort Scheduling modules with their priorities too, as a hint to developer:

Hope this makes sense.

  • Hello,

Thank you for the feedback and recommendations.

The Outline view is something we inherit from standard Eclipse and we are likely limited in how much modification we can do to it. We will have to investigate how much flexibility we have in regards to sorting options.

As for the Available Products view, I believe it is contributed by the TI-RTOS group. I will bring this thread to their attention also.

    Thanks

    ki

I filed an enhancement request for the outline view. Tracking ID: CCSIDE-3375

As for the Available Products view, I will have the TI-RTOS group comment.

    Thanks

I agree it's fair feedback. I opened SYSBIOS-710 to take a look at re-ordered the BIOS thread modules in Available Products.
